In this section, we will guide you through connecting a Google account with the Mageplaza Google Shopping Feed. Follow it step-by-step and pay attention to our attached images for a clearer understanding.

Visiting Mageplaza Google Shopping Feed, you will be directed to the Dashboard page, which provides an overview of the app.

Step 1: At the Dashboard screen, click the Start a tour button to begin connecting to the Google shopping sales channel according to our step-by-step instructions.

Step 2: You will be redirected to the Manage feeds screen, click the Add feed button according to the instructions given

Note:

  • You can choose Skip all to close the instructions if you already know how to connect your Google account and Merchant account.
  • You can choose Chat with us to open live chat anytime you need support from the Mageplaza team.

Step 3: You will be redirected to the Connect Google Merchant ID screen, click the Sign in button to log in to your Google account and check the Merchant account list

Step 4: Select a Google account on the window that appears, this is the account you want to connect to Mageplaza Google Shopping Feed.

Step 5: On the pop-up window, click Continue.

Step 6: Click Continue to go to the access request.

Step 7: Choose Select all at the top and click the Continue button at the bottom of the window to give Mageplaza Google Shopping Feed application full access for smoother operations.

Then, you will see the Sign in Google window close, the screen shows that the Google account has been successfully logged in and the Google Merchant account information field appears.

Note:

  • When logging in to your Google account, allow all the permissions that the Mageplaza Google Shopping Feed application requires to successfully perform.
  • If you have not granted all the permissions, an error message will appear and instructions will be displayed to select the Change account button to add permissions.

Step 8 & 9: Select a Merchant ID in the Google Merchant account information field and select Connect.

Note: After successfully logging into your Google account in Step 7, if your Google account does not have a Merchant ID, an error message will appear and you will be given specific instructions on how to create a Merchant ID.

Step 10: Now you’ll see a badge showing your successful website verification. Then, click Next to go to the Create feed screen.

Note: If on Google Merchant Center, the Merchant account has registered for Shopify store and successfully authenticated, the badge will appear on the Connect Google Merchant ID screen of the Mageplaza Google Shopping Feed app.

If on Google Merchant Center, the Merchant account has not registered for Shopify store or has registered but not successfully verified, an error message and instructions will appear on the Connect Google Merchant ID screen of the Mageplaza Google Shopping Feed app.

You can click the Go to Merchant Center button, follow the instructions to successfully connect and go to the Create feed section, continue to create the feed, and sync the feed to Google Shopping.

If you do not want to sync the feed to Google Shopping but only want to create a feed saved on the app, you can choose Skip website verification.

After moving to the Create feed section, the first time you log in to your Google account, the final guide will point to the See guide button so you can proactively view it when needed.
