In this tutorial, we’ll walk you through the steps to identify any issues Google has flagged in your product feeds. By following these instructions, you can ensure your products are accurately represented and effectively listed on Google Shopping.
Go to Manage Feed
to view all your product feeds. After successfully creating a feed, click on the View
icon, and the system displays a list of products imported into the feed as a grid view.
You can select the See guide
button to get an explanation of the main components on the products at any time.
The system will initially show a list of recently imported products, including the following attributes:
- Title: Product name. Clicking on the product name will redirect you to the product detail page in the Shopify admin to edit or view product information.
- Google status: Approval status of a product on GMC.
- Issues: Any errors related to a product returned from GMC.
- Action: Option to view or delete a product from the feed.
The Product screen reports errors about the Google account or Feeds (if there’s an error happens) and a banner that informs Google of the maximum time it takes to review products in Pending status (if there are products in Pending status on the grid).
Search product: You can search by entering keywords into the textbox. The system will query according to the entered value and display the results below.
Filter product: Filter products by Google status.
Sort by: Sort products in ascending/descending order according to the criteria Title, Status.
Delete a product: Follow these 2 methods to delete any products.
- Method 1: Select the product(s) you want to delete by clicking on the checkbox next to it. Then hit the
Delete
button. Then, you will see a popup asking if you’re sure with this decision. You can clickDelete product(s) from GMC also
if you also want this product out of GMC data too, and finally, pressConfirm
. (You should use this method to delete many products at the same time)
- Method 2: Choose the Delete icon of each product and repeat confirmation like method 1. (This option would be more suitable if you only delete a few items.)
By following this guide, you should now be able to check and address any Google error effectively reports for your Product Feeds app on Shopify. Regularly monitoring these reports ensures your product listings are optimized and compliant with Google’s requirements, ultimately helping you drive more traffic and sales.
